It’s cold outside and it’s raining           

The sky is grey and the windows are fogged.

And as I watch, a spider zags slowly across the floor

And disappears beneath a chair,

And disappears forevermore.

A day that started so magically

With a smile and first “Hello,”

Ended not quite so tragically with a

Good Bye and no where to go.
